The Institute (EUROJUS) was established in 2003 to foster interdisciplinary study and the teaching of European Law by cultivating a worldwide network of scholars with similar interests. In 2015 its Board decided to enlarge the field of action of the Institute, focusing on European policies and EU affairs also on the side of media and communication.
Since January 2016 this independent academic body is thus called the European Institute for Legal and Communication Studies, or L'Institut Européen d'Études Juridiques et de Communication (IEEJC – EUROJUS), seeking to contribute to the public debate on Europe through analysis, studies and articles on topical subjects and questions relevant to Europe.
Its team includes researchers, journalists and academics from different countries and carries out research from a European perspective in the fields of Positive Globalization, EU and International law and strategies, Economics, Labour law, Energy efficiency and sustainable development — delivering comments, analysis and briefings on these topics.

Geo-Juridical Analysis
Through its collaboration with DSPress – Diplomatic & Strategic Press, EILSCS disseminates geo-juridical analyses examining the impact of geopolitical dynamics on the European legal framework. All publications are available on the eurojus.org platform.
The Institute's methodology integrates rigorous legal analysis with an understanding of the political processes that shape European legislation, offering scholars and practitioners a unique perspective on the evolution of EU law.
Director · Professional Journalist · EU Policy Expert
A professional journalist based in Brussels and an expert in European policy, Filippo Giuffrida Répaci has built EILSCS as a meeting point between rigorous legal analysis and strategic communication on EU affairs.
Former Assistant to Professor Bruno Nascimbene at the Chair of European Community Law at the Universities of Genoa and Milan, he pursued advanced studies abroad at King's College London, the City of London Polytechnic and the Université Libre de Bruxelles, and attended the Specialisation School in EC Law in Milan. Following military service in the Navy during the Gulf War, he combined legal practice in the family law firm with teaching law. In 1991/1992 he undertook part of his legal traineeship at the Court of Justice of the EC in Luxembourg; in 1994 he moved abroad permanently — first to Brussels for a traineeship at the European Commission, then to Maastricht as Legal Officer of a consultancy firm, and finally back to Brussels as Associate at the law firm Van Bael & Bellis. A lecturer in Institutional Relations and Public Diplomacy at the European Training Institute, he has collaborated with numerous academic institutions including EIPA (the European Institute of Public Administration, Maastricht), ESL Academy, the Université Marc Bloch of Strasbourg, and the Universities of Milan, Genoa and Bologna. He also served as Coordinator of a European Commission Peacebuilding project for Israeli and Palestinian NGOs. After leaving the legal profession following a further period at the European Commission, he became Senior Partner and Chairman of the Board of a communications and strategy agency before returning to journalism full-time. He has contributed to various Italian and international media, founded the trilingual review (IT/EN/FR) La lettre B and the press and communications agency DSPress. Brussels correspondent for the news agency Nove Colonne, he is currently Director of RadioCom.tv, a project funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Under his direction, the Institute has developed distinctive expertise in pre-legislative monitoring and public diplomacy, collaborating with diplomatic representations and EU institutions to train specialists in European affairs.

Eurojus.org was born to build bridges between law and information.
